Hewlett-Packard will not support Microsoft XP or Microsoft .NET Server 2003 on HP Netservers. However, HP will be supporting Microsoft .NET Server on HP TC Servers. This document provides an update on which servers and accessories will be supported with Microsoft Windows .NET Server 2003.
- HP Server tc2100
- HP Server tc2110
- HP Server tc3100
- HP Server tc4100
- All though not officially supported, users have successfully installed and are successfully using Windows 2003 Server on the LH series at least. See the installation procedure proven to work at the end of this page.
- All ProLiant servers with Pentium III and Pentium III Xeon and later processors are supported and will be qualified by HP with Windows Server 2003. This includes all ProLiant ML, DL, and BL server models.
A detailed list of supported accessories is forthcoming. The following
accessories which are currently supported in configurations with the servers
above and current operating systems will not be supported under Windows .NET
Server 2003:
- HP NetRAID-4M (D9161A, D9351A)
- HP Fibre Channel HBA (D8602B)
- HP Toptools Remote Control Card (P1218A)
- HP Rack Storage/12FC fibre enclosure (D5991A)
Table 2 lists the ProLiant servers, ROM version, and ROM date that support
Windows Server 2003. Refer to the following resources on the Web to assist in
determining the ROM version and family of your ProLiant server.
